Job Description
Universal Health and Serenity Pathways (UHSP) is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPC) to provide behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services to individuals and families throughout Washington, DC.
The Licensed Counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing counseling services, maintaining clinical documentation, and supporting consumers in achieving their treatment and recovery goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering person-centered, trauma-informed care and helping individuals overcome mental health and substance use challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct clinical assessments and screenings
• Develop individualized treatment plans and recovery goals
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
• Monitor consumer progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed
• Coordinate services with referral sources and community partners
• Ensure compliance with DBH, Medicaid, HIPAA, and agency standards
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, training, and quality improvement activities
Qualifications:
• Active DC LPC or LGPC license
• Master's Degree in Counseling or related behavioral health field
• Experience working with mental health and/or substance use disorder populations preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
